[solved]Requests for a children story -work in progress

my dear sisters, I need some illustrations for a short story.

here is the scenary background :

1) a sun peeping through the bedroom window of four (very ) sleeping children (two dark, two mousy heads, lol) - one is ''baby''. Completed

2) sun peeping through the kitchen window while the boy and the girl are having breakfast Completed

3) sun following car with Abi (full beard and muslim cap, lol) driving and boy and girl in the back Completed

4) sun looking on as girl and boy enter school Completed


5) sun peeping through the school windown into the classroom looking bored Completed


6) sun racing back to home Completed

7) sun plays with the two children left at home, but they are in the garden now, ''baby'' and one little boy in wheelchair. Or maybe sun warms them with its rays , or babysit them but the idea is that sun stays with them. Maybe the boy in the wheelchair is in the shade with a blanket on his knees. Completed

8) sun setting with house at the foot of the hill.


Tall order, , I know, for just one person , so , Inshallah, it will be possible with the many sisters artists we have. It does not matter if we have many illustrators. It can be a collective effort, like we did the Magnolia project.



Notes :

a - the size of the picture : it should fit a standard 15'inch computer screen . It is bigger, no problem, I will crop or shrink with Photobucket Photo editor.

b - Leave the bottom blank if possible as I may paste the text in there. If not possible, no problem, I will paste the text in a bubble under the pic.

c - I do not know how feasible it is, but the sun should be without the face, like the characters . Check on this, but i think just the mouth might be ok (for the sun - I am thinking of the ''bored look'' when it is peeping through the classroom window).

d - the idea of it is that it should look like a beautiful spring or summer morning, with flowers, green trees, birds, and that should convey a happy & serene feeling.

e - the children in the story are not the principal characters. The sun is

Are the the boy and girl the two who are dark-haired? And the two who stay at home both mousey-haired boys?

Do you want any particular colour for the school clothes? The car?

In no.6 is the sun racing the car back home?

Maybe it is too many drawings ...

I really tried but it is all i could come up with, you can see i need some pracitce and I was helped by the children.. but I could not even draw curtains...



so, i will be definitely stuck to draw a car... a sun is no problem

Forgive me for not replying sis, I'm busy with Um Sufian's request at the moment mashaAllah, but I'll try and do something for you when I can. Perhaps Poppy can also help , I'll ask her inshaAllah.

Aunty Khadija, I've just been told about this. I'll help you with this inshaAllah. If I can't do them all, I'll do you a few at least.

dear sis Mabsoota , no worry. I have seen all what you have done for Um Sufyan , Mashallah, and it is beautiful. I did not expect you to jump on my post but I was hoping some of our talented sisters would lend a hand.

See, the way I sometimes work is that I need the pictures to write the story. Alhamdullilah , the story is firmly in my head, but I cannot write it without the drawings. I know, I am totally messed up when it comes to organisation

Dear Poppy, see the little person in your signature, in the square stamp? this will do lovely for the children. Just draw them like this and please , just change the hair color If you can add a hijab for the girl, fine, if you cannot, she is still small, so whether she has one or not, it does not matter . As a matter of fact (says auntie Khadi very smugly ) , it is great that the illustrations will be made by a junior.
Try the best you can, just read the instructions as a guidelines , because whatever cannot be said in pictures will be said in the text..

I have managed to do something after all. It's the sun following them in the car. Made it a little surreal of course, to help the story along.

For the sun racing back home to be with the other two kids left behind, I'd do it the same with the running shoes, lol, because that's the only way I can give the impression the sun is racing.
