How to use drop shadows tutorial
Asalam Alaykum,
Using drop shadows makes a huge difference on your work. In PSPx3 you get to this by going to effects-3d effects-drop shadow. The setting I have found to be the most realistic is
offset vertical-3
horizontal-3
attributes opacity-41
blur-10
color-black
Also before every move I make a do a new layer (raster) so if I mess up I can go back and not start over. When I first started I did not do this and it took forever to re-do a mistake..
I will show you a graphic without it and one with it so you can see how the images pop out..

As Salamu Alaikum
for sharing sister Umm Talal.
To add to this - the problem with drop shadows is not to use it if you are saving the file as a .gif animation with a transparent background. I'll try and put an example later Insha Allah.

As Salamu Alaikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuhu
Yes there is no problem with drop shadow if it is saved a .png file. There is a problem with saving an animation with a transparent background. Here's what I mean.
You will notice the white smudge, although I used a very low setting. It does not look nice. The drop shadow on the small butterfly is okay.
Maybe you or anyone else knows of a way to save an animation with a drop shadow on a transparent background please share it with us. I would love to know how.
