Zaza’s not so crafty crafts.
These were done on a Brothers Embroidery and Sewing machine, I cant remember the model.
First choose a pattern (these were cards) and then the correct size frame. Thread the cotton and hoop your fabric to the frame and press start sit back and relax and your work is done. Amazing machines.
The machine I tried, I had to change the cotton for the different colors. Some I did on a silky material and some on linen.
The boring monotonous part is neatening the blocks after the work is done.
I have a few more which I made especially for my baby graphics, Insha Allah you can see them when I make my baby greetings.
These are for you sis Um Zakaria Enjoy

sis Zaza! I think you named your post incorrectly...it should be "Zaza's very crafty crafts"!

MashaAllah sis zaza, these are so pretty!! You chose the colours really well. What do you plan to do with the blocks? I've seen embroidery hoops with their work inside placed on walls to decorate a home instead of paintings!! Also yes, I agree with sis umm an-nu'man, you should rename your thread!

sisters Umm An-Nu'man and Mabsoota.
The title is correct the machine did all the work.
I don't have any plans for the blocks except to use them in my graphic. Actually I think I made over 20
Sewing, embroidery, cooking not my cup of tea. I was just having fun.
I only have the pictures now and gave the blocks to my sister. She will find some use for them.

Re: Zaza’s not so crafty crafts.
Barak Allahu sister Um Zakaria for these lovely words.
Masha Allah today turned out to be a great day, 1st sister Aisha phoned and now I get this lovely Award.

I don't understand, there is plenty of my work you can embroider. No need for a request
Please Zaza, when your sister has made something with the blocks show us a photo!
I don't think that is possible. I will have to check with sister Aisha as we don't allow members to post the work of others and my sister will not join the forum.
for the award.

Re: Zaza’s not so crafty crafts.
salamu aleykum,
ah ok no problem , than pass the salam to your sister from another crafty muslimah!
It is not easy at all to use graphics from the forum to embroider, it needs a special software to digitalize, i have the smallest cheapest one (alhamduliLlah of course!) which can only digitalize very very simple graphics (and not all formats).
InchAllah i will talk about it in detail in the request soon.

Re: Zaza’s not so crafty crafts.
sister Amina. But seriously these machines are amazing. Sister Umm Zakaria will agree with me.
Insha Allah I will change the title when I do something myself.
I'm trying to take up knitting or maybe crochet or try one of those canvases where the image is already traced and you just need to jump from one hole to the other (not sure what you call them)
(I'd hate to see what you would think of my creations)
You know I love your work but I can't remember you sharing any crafts. Please do if you have any.
You haven't shared any work in a while.

Wa feeki Barak Allah. It did take a while to get use to knitting and crocheting again as all I even did was the square pot holders in grade 3.
today with the Internet and YouTube anyone can learn to do anything, with a bit of time and lots of patience.
I like this site http://www.favecrafts.com/ Although it is a commercial site there are lots of ideas for crafts.
