My handmade toy stall
I would like to share some pics from my latest craft stall with you, which in the end became mainly a handmade toy stall. It's a hard job making toys and keeping them from looking too realistic, so I tried hard to keep the toys very abstract. Instead of using eyes on the elephants and bowling dolls, I used only eyelashes, infact the elephants have only two legs . I applied buttons as eyes on some softies but kept the mouth missing, or their bodies unrealistic to how they are actually are in real life, for example the rabbits have a more human type body, and are wearing clothes like humans, the owls give an impression they have wings but they have no feet . The doll has the eyelash line like the teeny tiny dolls I designed in another thread, but if you look carefully, she has no nose, or mouth, just pink circles for her cheeks. I did my best to keep them incomplete, but still attractive and interesting inshaAllah. MashaAllah it didn't make a difference to the children or parents, they accepted them this way.
The blank cards I designed seemed to be a big hit with customers, so inshaAllah I hope to be making lots more of them next time. Sorry if the pics aren't as clear as last time, but it was indoors, and I had to rush taking them because people started coming to the stalls almost immediately. But the event was nice mashaAllah, there were around 18 stall holders and I had lots of positive feedback alhamdulillah. It was very encouraging and inshaAllah I hope to do it again, perhaps at the end of the year inshaAllah.
Do enjoy the pics sisters!

Amina and Umm Zakaria.
Lol. Actually I always try and make them things too so they are satisfied. If we have things left over then I will keep it for the next stall or if my kids really, really love something, then I will give it to them, no problem! How could your kids let their mother go to the stall with all those toys? Didn't they worry if their will be enough left for them?
