Re: My green sweet Valley

Oh mashaAllah, what a beautliful place!! The valley's are so dramatic. I love the close up of the river. SubhanAllah you have some VERY steep streets, do people actually walk up and down them? It must keep them very fit! Anyway, I love the style of the houses too, and the place looks to clean!!

I can't wait to see more of your interesting country inshaAllah.

The first pic is my favourite. Maybe sister Aisha or Mabsoota will be inspired to paint that.
I also liked the municipal chamber. That would also make a great painting or a puzzle.

I really hope you post more pictures of your country inshallah.
Barakallhu feeki sister Maria.

I took these following pics a long time ago, maybe in 1999 or 2000. Well, I used my old camera, a Yashica (very good and simple one) and after developed them I scanned to use in a project at the English school:
Old houses at downtown (it's my neighborhood):

My street:

It's an old one. There is a house down there now and the ipê tree is much bigger.

I really love taking pictures. Photography is my favorite hobby!

As Salamu Alaikum
Masha Allah your pictures are beautiful and your neighbourhood looks so serene.
Before my marriage I also loved taking pictures mainly with a Kodak Instant camera, and then lost interest.
Seeing all these lovely pictures here my interest is revived again and I have been looking online for good digital camera but not something every difficult to understand.
Any ideas will be welcomed

assalamou aleikoum wa rahmatoullah wa barakatou
it is absolutely stunning, and , bonus of all bonuses, I have noticed a satellite dish in only one pic. Refreshing (unless they all have sky box inside the home
)
Mashallah, it is seems such a lovely place to live. But how do you manage as the sole muslim ? are people nice?

Sis Zaza, when I was to buy my camera, I searched for better lens and more megapixels (mine is 7.1 and i'ts old alerady, comparing to the ones with more than 10 MP nowadays), read about the features, and if there would be any damage, the camera could be fixed here in Brazil (there are many imported cameras which don't have any warranty here in my country). And, the most important: the price!!!

Re: My green sweet Valley
Assalam aleikom dear sisters!
I am back on track!
I keep posting here pictures from my land sweet land!
(Missed you all!)
Okay, here they go:
Houses from my neighborhood. In front of this house below, you can see a coffee tree. It's very common here to plant a coffee tree in the front garden.

This house was made by a bird known as "João-de-Barro" (Furnarius rufus). I took this picture, it's in the school I work.

Sunset from my bedroom's window.

Sunset still reaching the tree in front of my house.

Sunset from my porch.

A house viewed from a hole in the Gymnasium wall.

So, this is to be contiuned,
Wassalam,
Maria
