I've got a question

I'm sorry if this is a repeat question....I just went through all the posts in this section but I'm such a beginner at this stuff that it's difficult for me to tell if the answer is already here or not :P

So the question is this....Let's say I created an image in Art Rage starter edition (2) and I want to animate parts of it. I should move it to a different program right? An animating one? I tried to download Jasc Ani (Umm Talal had given me the link a while back), but unfortunately, once I had downloaded 88%, the computer shut down. Now, before I re-download it, I just want to double check...is that a program I can use? Or does that only animate small avatars? Like what if I wanted to animate something as big as the banner here? Say the pink looking cherries on the trees?

Is it doable, in the first place?

Masha Allah you are on the right track.....Jasc Animation handles all size images not only avatars.

I look forward to seeing your animated ArtRage drawings. I am beginning to love ArtRage myself, but I use the stencil option more than actually drawing.

Well, I cheated! I couldn't understand how to animate the parts I wanted so I just added this ready made effect to it...




I just wanted to animate the bulbs...

Now, I wish I could just animate the butterfly in this one, but again, I cheated and animated the whole thing:

these are cute sister Amina. Did you do the background in ArtRage? Very pretty.

I assume you used Jasc for the animation.

Open the unanimated image in Jascs. Make 3 or 4 copies....Select All--> copy--> paste after current frame, then just paste again till you have 3 or 4 frames.

Take the Flood fill tool make the size about 2 or 3 and paint pink or what ever color you like in the 1st frame.

Increase or decrease the size of the fill and change the color for each of the frames you made. Then select All the frames, go to Animation---> Frame properties and change the Time delay to about 20 or 30 (100th of a second.)

Give it a try and Insha Allah you are going to have animated butterflies.

I'm happy it worked for you. Tell your twin I love the backgrounds she is making. Use the same technique to animate the first image.
