Salams
Ok, I think what I'll do is I'll put two poems in each new thread inshallah. And please sisters if any of you see any way I can make my poems better, please just post it ot pm it whichever you want. I've never had anyone's critique on my poetry and I would really like your totally HONEST opinions. I'm not the type alhamdulilah to get discouraged or annoyed by people's comments when I know they can help me better my work
This poem I wrote after coming back from Morocco. I was so sad to have to leave and I felt I had to put my emotions down.
Sad Times
I went to Morocco for a month I did
And played and had fun as if I was a kid
But then the days passed by and away
And finally it came;that dreaded day
We woke up at six to a quiet house
A quietness no one and nothing could rouse
We packed our stuff with somber faces
Trying not to pick up or paces
We cried and kissed till our faces were blotched
We tried going to the car but felt we were scotched
Then my dad came and pulled us away
Reminding us the plane wouldn't sit and stay
So we drove to the airport wondering in pain
When we would see our loved ones again

Salams
This poem was made for my beautiful cat Maana (aka Yasmina) who I had to let go.
I MISS YOU
Maana is my cat, no matter where I go
Whether my spirits are high or low
I'll never forget my baby; never no
Black as ebony; white as snow
With her cold pink nose always nudging me so
And her cute little paws jumping to and fro
The apple of my eyes; I watched her grow
My beautiful Maana
I wish you didn't go
