Friendship (A poem)

As-Salaamu alaikum.

I would like to share this heart-felt poem with you inshaAllah.

Friendship

Sharing ideas, emotions and fears,
Sometimes laughter, sometimes tears.

Present, absent but always in mind,
Sometimes it seems that we're two of a kind.

I reflect on how a friendship starts,
Previously strangers - then in place in the hearts.

Forgiving, forgetting, forgiving again.
No bearing grudges, no harm, no pain.

'Blood is thicker than water' or so they say,
But friends are for life and in hearts they will stay.


I thank Allah for my friends, past present and future inshaAllah.
