Writer's Block

Sometimes, I have the start of an idea
but by the time I get my pen and paper
All the words are jumble mumble in my head
and the idea is not there anymore.

Sometimes, I feel the inspiration coming to me
So I jump to write the words
but when I look at my page
it is still blank, I never wrote anything.

I suffer from writer's block
how long will I stumble
in the dark alleys of my barren brain
looking in vain for something to write

Once upon a time, I could have made you see
the colours of the rainbow just with my descriptions
I would make guirlandes with sentences
and words were my pets.

I suffer from writer's block.
I am standing on a deserted land
with no hope of oasis.
I feel I lost a dear friend...
Inspiration, inspiration, if you hear me
Please, do come back to me

That's no excuse - you can paint something else - even a jam jar! I got the Acrylics out today and had some fun with those - so did Looli. InshaAllah we'll post some pics when we've finished

I am glad you like it.
What stops me is the english because I think my poems in french first.
I need to take a writing/grammar course.
but it is true, I do suffer from a writer's block at the moment because I think i need a holiday

When I get stuck for words i use my Thesaurus dictionary which gives many alternative words to the one you are looking for - with a good chance that another word has the same meaning and will rhyme or fit better with the rest of your poem.

I love it! I don't see any writer's block! It's GREAT, MashaAllah :) It's funny cause I once tried to write something about writer's block, but guess what? I got stuck in the middle. You didn't though, and that's great, MashaAllah. Keep it up
