New to knitting

I don't know much about knitting.

My girls have recently started knitting mashaAllah. I taught them both the knit and pearl stitch. They don't know how to cast on or off yet though, I thought it might confuse them, so I did that for them. You can find tutorials how to cast on/off, and the stitches I mentioned at places like You Tube and Video Jug. It's always better to watch someone doing it rather than read about it inshaAllah. A scarf would be a wonderful project to start off with as it's simple to do. Also getting thicker needles and chunky wool will get the project completed faster inshaAllah, as kids do tend to get a bit bored with all the repeating they have to do. All the best.

Alaykum Salam, I wanted to learn how to crochet so bad. I went and bought so much stuff in the states a year ago and it was in a huge bag in our old place and now I can not find it anywhere. I think it got threw away :( and I never got to use it so sad :(...

I would love to crochet or knit inshAllah one day..
